Downton Abbey Exhibition, Singapore July 2017 (Written in English)

As usual, a super late post because I have writer's block all the time :)

So, as you've probably known, Downton Abbey The Exhibition came to Singapore on June 17th - July 31st, 2017, at Marina Bay Sands. When I was in high school, I was a big fan of this show, but then life happened, and I no longer had the time to watch it (since it's about an hour-long each episode). I stopped watching them on the 3rd season.

______

A little bit about the show, Downton Abbey is a 2010 English drama that lasted for six seasons. The setting of this drama was around the end of the Edwardian era. It's basically about the life of the Crawleys and their servants during 1912-1926. There were so many events told in the series, including the sinking of the Titanic, World War I, the diseases spread around that time, etc.

______

What I like about this show is that it's both educational and entertaining, since the history is told in a way that is still relatable to us in the present time. It involves love stories between the servants, the lady, and the chauffeur, the relationship between family members around that time, and the suffering caused by the war. I also adore the whole art production of the show, including the costumes, the make-up and hairdo, the set designs, and basically how all of the characters are strongly presented. However, for a personal reason, I don't really like how Lady Edith's character as the middle daughter is represented on the show (since I'm a middle child of three girls myself), but oh well, they can make their characters how they want them to be.

Anyway, what you can expect from the exhibition are the set designs, costumes, more knowledge about the characters and the fun facts about the show. Here are some pictures from the exhibition:
