Exploring Tiong Bahru, Singapore, Part 2 (Written in English)

After i finished with Books Actually, my attention was caught by a little shop next door. The shop has a light blue wooden door & windows, some yellow-ish illustrations and 'Woods In The Books' writing on its wall. There was also a reminder on the door not to take pictures inside the shop. I was very curious with what's inside the place, so i entered the blue door.. and turned out it was another bookshop! But unlike Books Actually, this shop only sells books for kids (or you can say toddlers). There were no kids inside, but lots of young parents queueing at the cashier. Feeling like i don't belong there, i exited to find another shops.

The next shop i visited was Strangelets. What made me look inside the shop was a poster saying that they sell Popaganda Pops (Singaporean popsicle brand). Since it was a very hot day, that poster succeeded to make me enter the shop. Interestingly, when i entered the door and looked around, i thought this is not the kind of place that sells food.

This is the kinda place that sells home decors,

collectibles,

kitchenwares,

toys,

paper goods (they sell Riffle Paper Co products!),
aaand scented candles.

A little bit out of my expectation, but that's OK cause they give me more than what i was looking for. Since i'm a fan of home decor and stationeries, this place's so far my favorite in Tiong Bahru. Great ambience, cool brands & friendly staffs. Even though i was just looking around and didn't buy anything (other than a popsicle), the staff still put on his friendly face and even helped me with the direction to the nearest bus station.
